Pranah, Newtown

This is an amazing vegetarian and vegan place, fresh and always delicious brunch food. I'm not a vegetarian but the food is soo good you don't even miss the meat, seriously!

My favourite is the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries.... Hello delicious!

The Blue Belle Cafe, Island Bay

Their pies have to be tried to be believed some of their flavours include 'The Mexican'- spicy beans,beef and jalapenos and 'The Stockman'- hashbrown, beef and bacon. Plus they have the best lamington's I've ever tried

Maranui Surf Club Cafe, Lyall Bay

Beach views, great coffee and really rad atmosphere too bad its always so frickin busy on the weekends! Go here on a weekday is my advice so you can take in the pretty views enjoy your brunch in peace.

Nikau in the Art gallery, CBD

it's has delish organic food, a cool atmosphere and phenomenal homemade custard filled doughnuts!

Coffee:

Memphis Belle Just really, really good coffee, go there!
People's Coffee in Newtown is home of the Cold Flat White and my fav Wellington coffee roaster, heaps of fair trade blends and friendly staff
Streetwise Coffee. Tawa or Porirua if your in Wellington but they have heaps dotted around the lower north Island now too. Roasty flavour and served with a yummy espresso coffee bean. One of my new favs!
Carribean Coffee. Brooklyn. This cafe is actually run by my friends sister and her husband. They do wonderful batch roasted coffee and fabulous snack type food to go with it as well as sell a range of carribean sauces.

Monterey, Newtown

Awesome burgers and fries! They are so crispy and have their skins on- just the way I like them and best of all you can write on your table cloth becuase they are just huge pieces of paper (They even provide the pens!).
